Tokio Hotel - From Magdeburg to MTV International. The boys around Bill Kaulitz were just crowned as best youth group at Music Video Awards.

Bill: ‘We are damn nervous! I mean, that’s VMA’s. We are a german band and we never thought we ever would stand on this carpet in front of this wall!’
Transsexual man: ‘Of course my favourite teenie band is transsexual revue Tokio Hotel, I just think they are absolutely wicked. Bill’s fantastic. She looks a bit like a gay porcupine, but they are doing a good job. And they are world-famous! They are transporting our music out into the entire world. That’s wicked, isn’t it?’

The twin brothers Bill and Tom from Magdeburg are only nineteen years old, but they started practising short time after the turn of the millennium. As Bill was thirteen he compete for the casting show “Star Search”. There he already attracted attention more for his look.
Bill: ‘I didn’t like all of my t-shirts so I simply cutted them and finally they looked nice!’

It’s not because of their jeans. Their breakdown was celebrated 2005 with their first hit “Durch den Monsun” (Monsoon).

Tom: ‘Then there was our first tour and all of a sudden you’ve got a crew, which cares for all things. You’ve god a light man, a mixer, you’ve got backliner and fifty other guys, who are doing anything for you and loads of guitars and i think it’s such a wicked experience for a band, especially on their first tour.’

One year later Bill got new, longer hair and his fans are thrilled.

Woman: ‘The secret of Tokio Hotel is Bill, that’s clear. Without Bill there would be not only no band, there would even be no success. His success is, that he’s absolutely unique, he’s something speacial.’

2008 is the year of Tokio Hotel. Fans are screaming. Intercontinental from France to America.

Collien Fernandéz: ‘I think, they won’t be present here in our pretty country for the next time, but they sniffed international air. Now they are something better. I would be very surprised when they played at some village celebrations again.’

Man: ‘We will see that the success of all teenie bands will be there for a long time when the music is good, when they can do something. Tokio Hotel can do something. They are always getting better. They are already really good stage hogs, who know how to act with publicity.’

Los hermanos gemelos Bill y Tom de Magdeburgo tienen sólo diecinueve años, pero comenzó poco tiempo después de practicar el cambio de milenio. Como Bill tenía trece compitió en el casting show "Star Search". Allí ya llamó la atención más por su mirada.
Bill: "A mí no me gustaban todas mis camisetas, así que simplemente las cortaba y, por último, que parecía bien!"

No fue debido a sus pantalones vaqueros. Su desglose se celebró en 2005 con su primer hit, "Durch den Monsun" (Monsoon).

Tom: «Luego fue nuestra primera gira y de repente tuvimos una banda, que se preocupa por todas las cosas. Dios que haya un hombre de luz, una mesa de mezclas, que tenga cincuenta backliner y otros muchachos, que están haciendo algo para ti y un montón de guitarras y creo que es tan malo para una experiencia de banda, especialmente en su primera gira ».

Un año más tarde Bill se dejó, el pelo largo y sus fans están encantados.

Mujer: "El secreto de Tokio Hotel es Bill, eso esta claro. Sin Bill no sólo no habría banda, incluso no tendrian ningún éxito. Su éxito absolutamente único, es algo especial ».

2008 es el año de Tokio Hotel. Las fans estuvieron gritando. Intercontinental de Francia a América.

Collien Fernández: "Creo, que no estarán aquí presentes en nuestro bonito país, para el proximo tiempo, pero ellos tienen un aire internacional. Ahora ellos estan algo mejor. Estaré muy sorprendida cuando actuen en aquí otra vez.
Hombre: "Vamos a ver que el éxito de todas las bandas jovenes estará allí por mucho tiempo cuando la música es buena, cuando pueden hacer algo. Tokio Hotel puede hacer algo. Ellos siempre están mejorando. Ya están en una etapa muy buena, que saben cómo actuar con la publicidad. "
